Admission procedure

The Governing Council for Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Gurukul has decided to admit 30 students per year (Class 6th) through an entrance examination and these students will get promoted to higher classes in due course of time.Accordingly, notice for admission to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Gurukul is published in the month of January every year in the prominent Hindi and English dailies of Jammu for wide publicity.... 1. The criteria for admission:

Provisional Selected list of Shastri Part-I, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Gurukul,Charan Paduka (Katra).......Click here for detailed list.
Candidate should have passed Class 5th examination.
Candidate should be of 09 to 12 years of age.
The following traditional and modern subjects are being taught in SMVD Gurukul:

Vedas
Sanskrit Vyakaran
Sanskrit Sahitya
Jyotish
Tulnatmak Darshan
Hindi
Mathematics
English
Computer
Science [Upto Class 8th]
Social Studies [Upto Class 8th]

Besides training is also imparted to the students in practicing the art of Yoga and Music.
